Are you a traditional VC fund?
Yes and no. Like a traditional VC fund, we invest in promising start-ups and deploy money from a fund that we’ve raised from investors. Unlike a traditional VC fund, we also invest with money we raise specifically for an individual deal.
From the 180+ accomplished founders who back us, we select a handful that we believe can add the most value for your startup. We invite them to join the investment with money and help. We combine both parts into one ticket so that, like a traditional VC fund, you only have one investor on your cap table.
Capital is only part of the equation. Their (and our) experience, perspective, and active commitment to your company specifically matter just as much.
Doesn’t this take more time, and isn’t it less certain than a traditional fund?
No. While we do raise a part of each of our investments deal-by-deal, our fund guarantees each commitment 100%. In parallel to selecting the best champions from our collective for your start-up, we run the legal process and do our due diligence. This keeps momentum high and ensures alignment from the start.
